3. If the motor is rotating in the wrong direction, press the “STOP” key, remove power from the
drive, wait three minutes for the bus capacitors to discharge, and swap any two of the motor wires
connected to T1, T2, and T3.
NOTE 1: The drive is phase insensitive with respect to incoming line voltage. Therefore, to change the
motor rotation, the phases must be swapped at the drive output terminals or at the motor.
NOTE 2:Ifthedrive’sdisplayisblankafterpowerup,anditisamodelequippedwithheatsinkfans,check
tomakesurethefansareoperating(theyshouldbespinninganytimepowerisappliedtothedrive).Ifthey
arenotspinning,thedrive’sdisplaywillbeblankandthedrivecannotbeoperated.Ifthefansareclogged
orjammed,disconnectpowerfromthedriveandremoveanyobstructionsfromthefans.Reapplypower
tothedriveandcheckthefans.Iftheyarespinning,thedrive’sdisplayshouldappearandthedriveshould
operate properly. If there are no obstructions, the fan itself may be defective. Please contact the factory for
assistance.
13.0 KEYPAD CONTROL
Thedrivecanbeoperatedinanumberofdifferentways:keypad(LOCAL),controldeviceswiredtothe
terminalstrip(REMOTE),oracombinationoftheterminalstripandthekeypad.Thedriveshouldfirst
beoperatedfromthekeypadduringinitialstart-up.RefertoSections14.0-CONTROLWIRING,and
18.0 - DESCRIPTION OF PARAMETERS for information on remote operation.
13.1 KEYPAD FUNCTIONS
START/STOP Tostartthedrive,presstheSTARTkey.Tostopthedrive,presstheSTOP
key.
NOTE:TheSTOPkeyisactiveinbothLOCALandREMOTEmodes.
SPEEDsetpoint Toincreasethespeedsetpoint,presstheUParrowkey.Todecreasethe
speedsetpoint,presstheDOWNarrowkey.
FORWARD/REVERSE Tochangerotationdirection,presstheFWD/REVkeyandthenpressthe
ENTERkeywithinthreeseconds.
NOTE: Parameter 27 - ROTATION must be set to FWD & REV for this
keytobeactive.
AUTO/MANUAL To toggle between AUTOMATIC (terminal strip) andMANUAL (key-
pad)speedcontrol,presstheAUTO/MANkeyandthenpresstheENTER
keywithinthreeseconds.
NOTE:Parameter28-AUTO/MANmustbesettoBOTHforthiskey
to be active. See Section 14.0 - CONTROL WIRING for information on
automatic speed references.
FAULTRESET Use the STOP key to reset a fault. If the fault condition has passed,
pressingtheSTOPkeywillresetthefaultandreturnthedrivetoaSTOP
condition.
NOTE: If an OUTPUT fault occurs, there will be a 30 second delay before
thefaultcanbeclearedusingtheSTOPkey.
